Begin with File Explorer context actions on Windows 11 or Finder Services on Mac. Inside the app, tabs, history and favorites keep everyday files close.

Your format, your volume size
Create ZIP, 7z and TAR-family archives with compression level, password, verification and split size. Windows also handles single-file GZ, XZ and BZ2 plus rule-based exclusions.

Multipart downloads, understood as one
Handle numbered ZIP and 7z volumes, .z01 ZIP sets and multipart RAR or RAR5. LinaZip points out missing parts and avoids processing the same set twice.

Which archive formats can LinaZip open?+
Open and extract ZIP and ZIP-based JAR, WAR, EPUB and APK files, plus 7z, RAR/RAR5, TAR, GZ, XZ, BZ2, ISO and CAB. Supported ALZ and EGG archives can also be browsed and extracted.
Are the Mac and Windows features identical?+
Core creation, extraction and multipart handling are shared. Finder Services are available on Mac, while in-archive editing, previews, ZIP recovery and expanded file tools are available on Windows.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. File contents and paths are not sent to developer servers, and core archive features work without an account or internet connection.
Can LinaZip create RAR archives?+
RAR, ALZ and EGG creation and password recovery are not included. LinaZip can extract single and multipart RAR and RAR5 archives.
